What is Web Hosting?

Our Web Hosting Service provides all of the hardware, software, operations, and maintenance associated with running your Web site. The server is installed at our Data Centre and is connected directly to Internet backbone.

What is your connected to the Internet?

aNet servers are linked to the Internet via a Fiber Optic (OC-12) connection with three different backbone providers (Savvis, Digex, Level 3).

How long does it take to set up a new account ?

Web Hosting Solutions can be activated within 24 hours. Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent you via email including a userid, password, and FTP hostname. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately. You will be given access to your site via an IP address prior to the completion of either domain registration or transfer.

How do I transfer my files to my account ?

You simply upload your content to that server using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) over the Internet. If you have a Internet account and need FTP software, you can download a program for either the PC or Mac from our site. Internet providers such as AOL, Compuserve, and Prodigy may have a built-in FTP interface. Microsoft FrontPage users can 'publish' their sites to our server and should not use FTP software.

How do I upgrade my hosting plan?

You can change your hosting plans at any time by contacting our sales office.(sales@anet.net)

How do I update my contact information?

Please send all your current information to billing@anet.net

Can I change my login name and password?

You can not change your login name since your login name is your domain name without the .com or .net You can change your password by contacting our tech support office. (support@anet.net)

What is your accepted uses policy?

Can I access my domain name with or without the WWW?

Yes, you can access your domain name with or without the WWW in front.

My site is not ready, but can I still register my domain name now?

If you're not ready to build your Web site, you can still register a Domain Name for future use. When you choose a domain name, we can handle the registration process for you and "park" your domain on our servers. We'll give you a free "welcome" Web page, and you can upgrade to one of our hosting plans when you're ready to build your site.

Can I point multiple domain names to one site?

Yes, Multiple domain names can bring more exposure to your Web site. We can register and point a domain name to your existing site. This is also known as an Alias Domain Name or Alias-Virtual Hosting.
