Larry Sue lives in Mountain View, California, where he works as a software engineer, piano tuner, tutor, and piano teacher (not necessarily in that order). He attends First Presbyterian Church of Mountain View, where he rings handbells, sings in the choir and small vocal ensemble, plays bass/guitar/keys in the praise band, accompanies congregational singing on piano, and occasionally gets licks in on clarinet. He also serves as associate choral and handbell director, and also has occasions to share those skills for the benefit of other churches and organizations.

He has been ringing since 1987, and has been composing for bells since 1990. Although he can ring any position on the table, he specializes in bass ringing (including bass solos), and is the author of the Bass Ringer's Notebook. He also has experience as a general-purpose handbell clinician and festival/mass conductor. His interests continue to involve performance and composition, and come together for him as the Artistic Figurehead of Low Ding Zone, the World's First Bass-Only Handbell Ensemble.
